The Studio Spennymoor was established in 1964 by J.G. Teasdale Senior and has developed over the years into a successful family business.

The Studio was the first photographic business in the north-east to offer full colour wedding coverage. All our photographs are processed in-house, so we can provide the highest quality. It enables us to have full control over our work.

The Studio offers a traditional style. Over the years we have introduced many new ideas to improve wedding photography.

We were the first to take the bride and groom back into church after the service, to take photographs at the altar.

We were the first to introduce a less formal style to wedding photography.
Pictures can be taken in more casual surroundings. Local parks, woods, gardens, hotel grounds are now among the many areas we use for photographs.
We were the first to offer Double Exposures The champagne bottle was the most popular.

In the modern digital age we can now transform any photograph.
Pictures can be given new backgrounds, unwanted objects removed, and a vast array of special effects can be applied to any photograph.

With our move into digital photography, we use high quality Nikon digital cameras. However we still use conventional film, when this is requested using Hasselblad equipment.
We have also installed the latest top of the range print processing equipment and our prints are now guaranteed for over 75 years.
